We offer the full range of architectural services, from schematic design (initial concept), through design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction phase services. We help you every step of the way, from visualizing those first ideas, to helping find the right contractor, to getting a building permit and more. Home construction is a big job, but you won’t have to go it alone.

The first move is yours, and after that we’re in it together! After you call, email, or contact us through this site, we will call you for a friendly chat about the key details, and then we’ll arrange an in-person walkthrough with you of your home or property. Both the call and the walkthrough will give us a clear picture of the project, and will give you a better feel for what it’s like to work with us. While some architects bill their fee as a fixed price or percentage of construction cost, we charge for our work on an hourly basis, billing monthly and meeting or corresponding as often as needed to ensure we are all on the same page. Hourly billing is the best way for us to ensure that we are able to focus on giving your project the best we have to offer, and that we can flex with varying scope, program, and needs.

A design architect has learned design and practice fundamentals through 6-7 years of schooling, a 3-year multi-disciplinary intern development program, and sat for several hours of licensing exams. Architects are licensed by the state and are required to keep up continuing education and a high standard of care.

Design-build firms, on the other hand, are often contractors who have a designer on staff, or who work with a designer, to provide basic design services. They are not required to hold the licensing, education, or qualifications that architects do. Consequently, they are able to offer their services at a premium, and often do so within the context of the builder’s standards. While this can help expedite construction and reduce design fees, it may lack the experience and design quality brought by a licensed architect.
